A creative chapter
I made a project called Video Darzee. It belongs to an earlier creative chapter of my life, before the product tree visible here took its present shape. When I look back, I see the same interest travelling through different forms: making something, putting it in front of people and finding a better way for it to reach them.
I also chose to leave a medical path. I describe that as a change in direction, rather than a neat origin story. A person’s work can move between interests before it finds a useful shape. Mine did. The names and products came later; the urge to build was already there.
Carry the questions forward
My recollection of the Video Darzee period also includes a legal dispute involving Satish Ray. This is my personal account of a complicated route; this essay does not reconstruct the court record or decide that dispute. The detail I want to carry forward is the work that followed: giving creative ideas an entrance, making a product easier to approach and letting an identity hold different kinds of work.
Those questions explain why links became such an important part of my product direction. A video, a room, a page and a prompt are different experiences. Each still needs a way for someone to discover it, understand it and decide what to do next.
A name for the next chapter
Naman Jain, Doctor Naman and Dr. Dandy are the names used around this founder story. AppOpener and Spawnser are part of the product world that story now points towards. The journal gives me a place to describe the ideas in my own voice, while the product pages give visitors a place to try the work.
There is no finished moral to attach to the route. The useful part is that a new direction can become concrete. A name becomes a page. A question becomes a tool. A collection of ideas becomes a tree that someone else can explore.
