TEMPORARY / TWO PEOPLE
No saved chat history.
Messages travel directly between the two browsers through an encrypted WebRTC data channel. This app does not send chat text to a message server or store a transcript. Your device, browser extensions or the other person can still copy, record or screenshot it; this is not a secrecy guarantee.
What setup needs
The fixed AppOpener service temporarily keeps invitation identifiers, participant capabilities and connection signals in server memory for up to 45 minutes. It also keeps bounded, temporary rate-limit and single-use basic arithmetic check records. None of these are written to MongoDB. Expiry, deployment or a server restart removes them. Ordinary hosting infrastructure may retain request/IP metadata; an invitation is not anonymous identity verification.
The room identifier and optional sender name/topic are in the URL fragment. Anyone holding that link sees that information and can try to join; do not put confidential information there. The participant access key is kept only in tab memory, never placed in a share URL, browser storage or analytics. Reloading loses this tab’s history and access. Only two participants can join.
Network limits
Peers may learn each other’s network address. Google’s public STUN service helps the browsers discover a direct route and receives network metadata. No TURN relay is configured, so some mobile or restricted networks cannot connect. We do not guarantee delivery or availability. Basic arithmetic checks are not strong bot protection.
Barter & meetings
Agree terms clearly and verify the other person independently. Do not share payment PINs or passwords, and do not send advance payments based only on a chat. For an IRL meeting choose a public place, tell someone you trust and leave if uncomfortable. This free link does not provide escrow, bookings, emergency assistance or identity screening.
